Zenless Zone Zero's update 1.5 brings Astra Yeo and more to the game on 22 Jan
The first big update of the year for ZZZ has been announced.

Zenless Zone Zero is getting its first update of the year with version 1.5, titled "Astra-nomical Moment." The update is set to arrive on 22 January bringing a host of new content, playable characters, gameplay modes, and more.
The highlight of the update is Astra Yao, New Eridu’s superstar and a healer. Astra is an S-Rank Ether Support Agent who enhances her team with buffs and can heal the squad with her Ultimate, which also damages enemies.
Coming alongside her is Evelyn Chevalie, Astra’s manager and bodyguard. Evelyn, an S-Rank Fire Attack Agent, brings unique combat mechanics, including a Burning Tether Point system that triggers a powerful Chain Attack when fully charged. Both characters will be featured in the Event Wish banners, with Astra available in the first half of the update and Evelyn in the second.
Version 1.5 will also mark the debut of Snap, an S-Rank Bangboo with photography-inspired abilities, and will include reruns for the S-Rank characters Ellen and Qingyi, who will be featured alongside Astra and Evelyn in their respective banners.
New gameplay modes will also be introduced in this update. "Endless Tower: The Last Stand" challenges players with ascending floors of increasing difficulty, each featuring specific combat effects. "Perpetrator Battle," accessed through Hollow Zero, requires players to use designated Agents, gear, and Resonia to defeat enemies. Other returning modes, including Shiyu Defense and Deadly Assault, will receive rotational updates to enhance the combat experience.
Beyond combat, Version 1.5 introduces fresh activities. Players can participate in "Mach 25," a parkour arcade game, and explore updates to Bizarre Brigade, which now features a two-player PvE mode. Festive events like the Bangboo pageant "Ridu’s Got Boo" and the Elpis Ultimate Angler Championship will offer players opportunities to earn rewards, including Nicole’s new outfit and dynamic wallpapers.
