Specs, photos and estimated price of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 leaked
Just a day before the official launch of MIUI 7, the specs, photos and alleged price of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 surfaced on Chinese social networking site Weibo. Based on the specs and price tag, the Redmi Note 2 is set to be yet another hot seller!

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is one of the best value phablets in the market and its successor looks to be yet another smash hit for the company.
The Redmi Note 2 still sports a plastic chassis, but receives a boost in other specs. The 5.5-inch display will have a bump in resolution to 1080p and there will be two versions of the phone; one with 2GB RAM and the other with 3GB RAM. It will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera too.
Other specs include a thinner (8.05 vs 9.45mm) and lighter (159 vs 185g) design, a 3,100mAh battery, Android 5.0.2, and MediaTek's latest Helio X10 octa-core 2.2GHz processor. The killer feature is the price tag; it is reported to cost not more than 999 yuan (~S$220).
Xiaomi is holding a product launch event tomorrow where it is confirmed to unveil the MIUI 7 OS. It is likely to introduce the Redmi Note 2.
