New renders of Sony's upcoming flagship wireless earbuds have leaked.

Published by WinFuture, these renders show the Sony WF-1000XM5 sporting a smaller and lighter design. While the body of the earbuds is seen with a glossy texture, the touch areas are believed to be matte.

The Walkman Blog claims the Sony WF-1000XM5 earbud will be 1.4g lighter and the case is stated to be 2g lighter when compared to the WF-1000XM4. Battery life is expected to be the same at up to 24 hours with the carrying case.

A previous leak in March shows contacts for an additional driver unit, USB-C port and wireless charging support. While the launch timeframe is initially slated for between May and August, The Walkman Blog claims it could be anytime this week.
