NVIDIA has confirmed that the launch of its GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card is delayed.
In a blog post, NVIDIA shared that it has received feedback from consumers to have more GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards available on launch day. To make that happen, NVIDIA is updating the availability date to 29 October. Production of the graphics cards is also ramping quickly.
We know this may be disappointing to those eager to purchase a GeForce RTX 3070 as soon as possible, however this shift will help our global partners get more graphics cards into the hands of gamers on launch day.
The delayed launch of the RTX 3070 comes after NVIDIA apologised for stock shortages of the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card last month. It underestimated the demand for the graphics cards, which led to stocks selling out very quickly.
NVIDIA unveiled the GeForce RTX 30 Series last month. The GeForce RTX 3070 is the most affordable of the three graphics cards with a starting price of S$790. The top-end RTX 3090 is priced from S$2,365.
