Fitbit has announced that the Ionic smartwatch and Flyer wireless earphones will be available in Singapore, starting this week. Fitbit Ionic users will also be able to make payments using Fitbit Pay in the first week of November.
The Ionic is Fitbit’s second smartwatch, after last year’s Blaze. The Ionic gets GPS, heart rate tracking, on-device guided workouts, and automatic sleep tracking with Sleep Stages. The Ionic can also store about 300-plus songs on device. Perhaps the best things about the Ionic is that it can get up to five days of battery life and works with iOS, Android, and Windows phones.
It will also offer Fitbit Pay in the first week of November, for Mastercard and Visa credit and debit cards from UOB and OCBC banks. Fitbit Pay will work with contactless terminals, or basically any terminal that also accepts Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and payWave.
The Flyer is Fitbit’s first wireless headphones.
Besides the Ionic, Fitbit is also launching the Fitbit Flyer, the company’s first wireless headphones. The Flyer is built for sport, with a sweat-proof design and customizable fit.
The Fitbit Ionic will retail at S$458, and is available in three color combinations: silver gray tracker and clasp with blue gray band, smoke gray tracker and clasp with charcoal band, and burnt orange tracker and clasp with slate blue band.
Additional bands are also available for the Ionic.
Horween leather straps are also available for a more formal look. Even these are perforated for breathability.
Classic and Sport accessory bands are also available for S$49.90, and Horween leather bands are available for S$99.90. These optional bands, even the Horween leather ones, are also built for sport, with perforated holes for airflow.
The Fitbit Flyer is available in two colors, lunar gray and nightfall blue, for S$198.
The Fitbit Aria 2, a smart scale that can measure your body fat percentage and wirelessly update your stats to the Fitbit app, is now available for pre-order.
Fitbit is also announcing that the Fitbit Aria 2 Wi-Fi Smart Scale is available for pre-order on Fitbit for S$198, and will be available worldwide later in 2017.
