Amazon is the latest company to join Microsoft in touting the superiority of its tablet over the Apple iPad Air.
In a YouTube video uploaded on 29 November, Amazon has an American narrator interrupt his British counterpart whenever the latter talks about the iPad Air on three aspects - display resolution, weight and price.
Amazon points out in the video that the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is 20% lighter and more affordable than the iPad Air. More importantly, the Kindle Fire HDX has 1 million more pixels than the Retina display of the iPad Air. Here's a quick overview of the specs of the two tablets:

If you haven't noticed by now, Apple's competitors generally focus on the specs to market their tablets. Apple, on the other hand, focuses on the user experience.
Currently, Apple has over 475,000 tablet-optimized apps and has sold over 170 million iPads. It remains to be seen if the competition is able to narrow the gap with Apple in the near future.
