Apple reportedly adjusted its plans for the Vision Pro lineup.

Industry newsletter The Information claimed that Apple informed at least one supplier to pause work on the Vision Pro 2, but is continuing to work on a cheaper model. In addition, Apple is said to have deployed fewer manpower resources for the Vision Pro 2 project.

The spatial computer maker is struggling to reduce the component costs to create a more affordable Vision Pro model, which suggests that its launch could be pushed back again beyond the end of 2025.

Not all are as optimistic about an affordable spatial computer. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that Apple's sophisticated technologies and expensive components made it impossible for It to launch a cheaper model.

Bloomberg reported last year that Apple is "already at work on a cheaper version of the headset" for launch in 2025. The more affordable model is tipped to have fewer cameras/sensors, no Eyesight feature, a less powerful chip, and lower-quality screens.

Analyst Kuo predicts the Vision Pro 2 could arrive in the second half of 2027 at the earliest, but with the latest development, it could be years before we see it come to market. The Information believes Apple will resume work on the Vision Pro 2 at some point in the future.
