Apple might switch to a staggered launch for its iPhone lineup from next year.
The Information claims that Apple will unveil its flagship models in the fall of 2026. These flagship models include the iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Pro, plus the rumoured iPhone 18 Air and a foldable iPhone.
As for the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 16E's successor, Apple plans to announce them in the spring of 2027.
The shift in Apple’s release schedule could be due to two reasons. First, managing production for a six-model iPhone lineup requires careful coordination with manufacturing partners, and launching all six simultaneously could strain the supply chain.
Second, releasing all models simultaneously risks splitting media coverage and consumer attention, potentially hurting the overall sales.
Apple currently refreshes the standard and Pro models in the fall, and reserves the spring for the launch of the entry-level iPhone.
