The "major shake-up" could include a foldable iPhone and a "bold new Pro model".

Apple is reportedly planning "a major shake-up" for the iPhone lineup in 2027 — the device will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims Apple will unveil a foldable iPhone and a "bold new Pro model" in 2027. Gurman also says the "bold new Pro model" will use more glass materials, which could fulfil the company's dream of achieving an iPhone design that looks like a single sheet of glass.

He did not provide further details on the specs or design, but we reckon it will be super thin and light since this is reportedly the design philosophy that Apple is pursuing for its future products. The rumoured iPhone 17 Air for later this year will supposedly pave the way for slimmer and lighter iPhone designs.

If history is any guide, the 20th anniversary iPhone could be just as astonishing—if not more so—than the iPhone X

If you remember, Apple launched the iPhone X in 2017 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the product. It was the most significant redesign of the iPhone, with an OLED edge-to-edge display and the replacement of Touch ID with Face ID.

Let's cross our fingers for the trade war to end, if not it is likely to cost us an arm and a leg to buy one.
