Unlike most foldable phones in the market, Apple's goal for its first foldable device is to have no visible crease so that it would "look like a single, uninterrupted piece of glass". Incredibly, the iPhone maker has reportedly managed to achieve it against all odds.

According to ETNews, Samsung Display fulfilled Apple's stringent technical requirements with the latest foldable display samples. An industry official reportedly shared that the "wrinkles have disappeared with [the latest design]" thanks to the collaboration between Samsung Display and Apple hinge supplier Amphenol.

With the crease nearly eliminated, ETNews says Apple plans to finalise the supply chain by April in preparation for a product launch next year

Multiple reports also suggested a similar launch timeline for Apple's foldable iPhone. Bloomberg expects the device to launch in 2026 at the earliest, while the Wall Street Journal believes it will launch in 2026 or 2027.

The foldable iPhone is said to look more like the Google Pixel Fold with a 5.49-inch cover display and a 7.74-inch foldable display. The foldable iPhone will likely be marketed to gamers, software developers, and simply consumers who love their phones to have a big screen.
