OPPO’s new flagship smartwatch, the OPPO Watch X2, goes on sale in Singapore today. Capable of performing a 60-second health checkup and offering up to 16 days of battery life, it also features a titanium alloy bezel, stainless-steel case, and an IP68 rating for dust and water, along with a MIL-STD-810H standard for durability.
Not just a pretty face

Available in Lava Black and Summit Blue, the OPPO Watch X2 has a 1.5-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 2200 nits, ensuring screen visibility even under harsh sunlight. Additionally, the Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) technology used in the display allows the refresh rate to drop as low as 1Hz, improving power efficiency by up to 30% compared to the previous generation.
Running on a dual-chip setup featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 and BES2800BP MCU using advanced 6nm FinFET technology, the OPPO Watch X2 juggles between Wear OS 5 and real-time operating system (RTOS). According to OPPO, the MCU chip is 100% faster in CPU performance and 300% faster in NPU than its last generation.
Thanks to Wear OS 5, users can answer calls, respond to texts and emails, and control music from their OPPO Watch X2. They also have access to essential apps, including
Google Maps, Google Wallet, Google Fast Pair, and Google Play. This allows users to browse for new apps, sync apps with their smartphone, and download new watchfaces, all from the OPPO Watch X2.

The watch face is protected by a 1.25mm thick Sapphire Crystal Glass, making it resistant to scratches and fingerprints. However, the durability and more come from the MIL-STD-810H standard certification, IP68 rating, and 5ATM water resistance.
As we mentioned earlier, the OPPO Watch X2 comes with 16 days of battery life. But this is under its Power Saver Mode, where you’d expect it to last. But, using OPPO’s Silicon-Carbon Battery technology, which increases battery capacity by over 20% without increasing the size of the battery, even in its Smart Mode it has up to five days of battery life. Plus, using its Watch VOOC Flash Charge, a user can enjoy an approximate 24 hours of use with just a 10-minute charge
More than the sum of its parts

Nobody wears a smartwatch only to look good. We wear them for their ability to track our exercises, provide the motivation to start exercising, and monitor our overall health.
At the center of the OPPO Watch X2 is a 60s Health Check-In feature, which can provide users with an instant wellness assessment of key metrics like heart rate, blood oxygen, and wrist temperature in just 60 seconds. This data can be shared with healthcare professionals should a detailed consultation be needed.
Part of this is its sleep monitoring function that not only tracks sleep patterns but also identifies issues such as sleep apnea and irregular breathing. Additionally, the OPPO Watch X2 support mental health by tracking issues such as heart rate variability (HRV), providing valuable data on stress levels and offer scientifically-backed techniques for stress management.

Plus, the watch offers professional metrics for 11 popular sports, including tennis and badminton modes, which can track performance data like stroke type and swing count to enable users to fine-tune their techniques, track progress, and achieve their fitness goals.
