PC gamers know the thrill of having the world’s largest game library at their fingertips. Whether it’s the latest triple-A title or a hidden indie game, the platform offers virtually limitless choices. The only catch? Playing PC games often means getting stuck at a desk, playing on a desktop or laptop setup. The ROG Xbox Ally changes that.

Co-designed with Xbox, this latest handheld from ROG delivers familiar console-style controls and a streamlined user interface, paired with the freedom to play any PC title from any game store.

Built with blazing fast hardware including custom AMD Ryzen processors, a 120Hz display and long-lasting batteries, the ROG Xbox Ally combines the best of PC and console gaming, letting you take your entire gaming world anywhere you go.

Designed for Xbox, optimised for handheld

Crafted with the combined expertise of the ASUS and Xbox teams, the ROG Xbox Ally was designed to deliver console-grade gaming in a portable form factor. The result is a finished product that takes handheld gaming to a new level.

From the moment you power it on, you are dropped straight into the intuitive Xbox full-screen gaming interface, inspired by console systems and optimised for joystick and button controls. A dedicated Xbox button launches the Game Bar, which lets you switch between games, access settings, chat with friends, capture game footage and more.

With Xbox Play Anywhere, your games do not just travel with you – your progress does too. You can pick up any Xbox game right where you left off on PC or the Xbox console while at home, and continue your progress while you are on the road. In-game progress and achievements sync seamlessly across platforms and devices, so you can jump right back into the battlefield anytime on the ROG Xbox Ally.

Enjoy the freedom to play any game

Beyond the Xbox game library, the ROG Xbox Ally gives gamers the freedom to play virtually any PC title on the go.

Powered by Windows, the versatility of this handheld means that you can choose to fire up the integrated Xbox UI and start gaming right away, or dive into your game libraries from other game stores such as Steam, Epic Games Store or GOG. The freedom of the Windows OS also means that you can enjoy your games the way you want to, such as by installing mods and content that can enhance or expand gameplay.

Gamers who want to take a break from the battlefield can even use the ROG Xbox Ally as a portable PC, installing and running productivity or entertainment apps, or posting their latest in-game screen captures to social media.

Performance that rivals consoles

Enjoying handheld gaming does not mean having to compromise. The ROG Xbox Ally is built to deliver a gaming experience that will make console gamers jealous. This literally game-changing handheld ships in two versions: the ROG XBox Ally, and the ROG XBox Ally X. The former model offers console-grade gaming, while the latter comes with enhanced next-gen hardware for an even more immersive gaming experience.

Under the hood, both models are powered by custom AMD Ryzen processors that deliver smooth, responsive gameplay. On the ROG XBox Ally X, the advanced Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chipset comes with its own neural processor to support AI functions such as Automatic Super Resolution (Auto SR). Available only on the more powerful Ally X, Auto SR upscales games to sharper, higher resolution visuals for a smoother, more detailed gaming experience.

Whichever version you pick, the ROG XBox Ally comes with a 120Hz display that is powered by a bright 500-nit backlight suitable for gaming in both indoor and outdoor environments. The screens also leverage AMD’s Freesync Premium technology to deliver fluid, tear-free visuals.

Battery life also keeps pace with your gaming sessions. The ROG Xbox Ally comes with a 60Wh battery, while the Ally X features an 80Wh battery, so you spend less time charging the devices and more time playing. In the latter, the enhanced Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor is also designed to be power-efficient, without compromising on performance, further increasing play time.

Whether you are diving into an epic RPG quest or jumping into a quick online match with friends, the ROG Xbox Ally is built to keep up. By giving you access to your entire PC game library in the palm of your hands, it delivers true freedom to play anytime, anywhere.
